Astronomical Society of Dharmaraja College reached its pinnacle of academic excellence this year, by producing 3 out of 5 International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad participants. The IOAA 3 is going to be held in Teheran, Iran from 17th to 26th October 2009. Warm wishes to all 3 brother Rajans (Yasith Mathangasinghe-A/L 2009, Shyaminda Basnayake-A/L 2009 and Danula Godagama-A/L 2010) for their future competitions. This achievement will add up the number of IOAA patricipants from Dharmaraja College to 7, which is the highest number of students who have got selected to the Sri Lankan team, from a single school in Sri Lanka. It is also notable that Rajans have brought 2 Honourable Mentions to the mother nation in the past.

Moreover, more wishes to 2008/09 ASDRC Vice President Yasith Mathangasinghe, who has represented Sri Lanka in 3 IOAA competitions, and is selected to the 21st International Biology Olympiad to be held in Changwon, Korea, 2010.

Thank you all past and present ASDRCers who have strived to bring ASDRC to the position of Sri Lanka's most innovative and academically sound Astronomical Society.
